“Trials Will Lead To Joy”

Christian faithfuls have been admonished to endure temptation to receive the crown of life promised by God.
Delivering sermon on the topic, ” Trusting the Lord while trials tarry, ” the Leader of Union Baptist Church, Agege, Lagos, Deacon Akinyele Akinyemi, said brethren should always count their trials to joy.
According to him, when you are in Christ, temptation is a joyful phenomenon.
Making reference to James one chapter one to 18 in the scripture, he noted that blessed is the man that endures temptation as he will receive crown of life, which the Lord has promised those that love Him.
He said, “ Let everyman say when he is tempted it is from God, for God can never be tempted with evil. But every man is tempted when
he is drawn away of his own lust and enticed.”
He explained further that trials and temptation require patience as inability to be patient may result misbehaving.
Deacon Akinyemi who said that God can turn trials to triumph, urged brethren to be patient as He has reasons for every happenings in human life.
He stressed that every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, hence the need to be swift to hear, slow to speak and slow to wrath.
He added that when patience has time to work, it leads to maturity and perfection in Christ, adding: “If you lack wisdom, ask God as it is important in all human life. “
